But Its Better If You Do || Jasey & Michael
Michael took a seat beside Jasey on the couch, seemingly transfixed by the actions she was performing on her legs for a moment, she smirked slightly, capping the bottle and placing it back on the table, she finished her right leg and slid her now inherently smooth limbs beneath her, leaning back on the arm rest of the chair. She rested them bent in front of her as she cocked her head and studied him for a moment, registering his question.
She chewed on her lip for a moment, she didn’t really know what to tell him, she had to do this didn’t she? She also wondered if she should tell Michael that she’d somehow taken on another species. Her and Tyler hadn’t figured that one out completely though they had a shrewd idea of how it had happened. She was still in shock over that one. “I…I…I mean Michael, it’s a demon deal, and not with just any demon, but the crossroad king himself. I don’t really see how I’m supposed to get out of it!” She said earnestly, she sat up a bit, draping her arms over her legs and resting her chin in the crook of her knee. “I though you were just going to teach me how to play doctor.” She pouted, her green eyes searching his.
She sighed in resignation, “I don’t want to do it, it’s a death wish, but at the same time, I have to do everything I can to protect Tyler, can you understand that? Or at least try to?”
The moment she placed the bottle back on the table and folded her legs underneath her body Michael could focus again, keeping his gaze on her face and nothing more than that. This conversation was supposed to be serious, not just a casual meet-up or a getting to know one another type of conversation; really, there weren’t many layers to Michael and he was pretty sure Jasey already knew everything that she needs to know about him, even the obvious family troubles that seemed to be leading his life by the reign right now. The archangel made sure he was sitting comfortably in the seat before clearing his throat and pushing everything away from his mind, focusing on the conversation that he had arrived here for. When Jasey hesitated and explained, Michael nodded his head. He knew it was a hard decision for her, he knew it was her hybrid boyfriend on the line here but that didn’t mean he was going to let Jasey do what Crowley asked.
And then the realization hit him. Michael’s eyebrows raised for a few moments, eyes lighting up with that familiar spark where you thought of something beyond intelligent in your mind but he quickly got rid of that evident expression. Clearing his throat, Michael nodded his head once more and smiled half heartedly at playing doctor — something that he was going to help her do, even if it wasn’t as necessary now as it used to be, not for longer if the plans went as expected. “I understand.” Standing up from the seat, Michael crossed the room and stared blankly at the door for a few moments, composing himself and the words throughout his mind so he didn’t give himself away; obviously she’d be curious why the sudden change in mind so he needed an excuse. “You’re right. A deal is a deal, a deal that I can’t drag you out of. Tyler needs to stay protected and… We need as much information on Lucifer as possible. Even if our key to that is Crowley then so be it.” Turning around on the spot, Michael smiled once more. “I want you to do it. I’ll make sure you’re not caught. I’ll cover your tracks.”
